It’s not often you come across a unique distortion plugin with musical, inspiring tones. Developer Creative Intent sent over their new phase distortion plugin, Tantrum. It’s one of the best sounding distortions I’ve heard in a while. The clean interface design and unique animations with the “orb” control make it a ton of fun to use while mixing. One of my favorite uses for the Tantrum plugin is to absolutely mangle an 808-style bass or kick, making it perfect for playback on laptops, phones and other bass-lacking speakers.
